Knowledge & Learning have long been regarded as a vital part of the Armenian identity and heritage. In the 7th century, Armenian philosopher Anania Shirakatsi developed a primary school that marked a milestone in education, and his work was renowned for pioneering ideas such as tailoring material according to age. In fact, medieval Armenia had not one, but two universities that were part of the first institutions of higher education in the world: the University of Tatev located at the Monastery of Tatev (featured in the photo) and Gladzor University.
